- Usually a hum, drone or rumble that rises with speed and may change when you steer gently left or right. As it gets worse it can turn into a grinding noise and you may feel play in the wheel.
- Why does my car click when turning?
- A clicking or knocking noise on full lock, especially when pulling away, is a classic sign of a worn outer CV joint. It often follows a split driveshaft boot that let the grease out.
- Can I keep driving with a worn wheel bearing?
- Not for long. A worn bearing can overheat and, in bad cases, affect the wheel hub and ABS sensor. It is best to get it checked as soon as you hear the noise.
